DESCRIPTION:.\n\n\n\nWinter festival in the Historic Kenwood Artist Enclave with artists\, craft vendors\, food trucks\, live music\, and a visit by Santa. \n\n\n\nThere will be a dedicated booth just for my photography at the 2nd annual Winter in the ‘Wood – and another booth with our Happier Place products and launch of Scott’s new creative endeavor. YES I will have the 2024 St. PetersBird calendars for sale. \n\n\n\nWinter In The ‘Wood is a quaint winter festival with exhibits and performances by Historic Kenwood enclave artists\, activities for children and adults\, a visit by Santa\, delicious food\, live music\, and so much more. Located in Seminole Park\, at the heart of the artist enclave and charming neighborhood Historic Kenwood in St. Petersburg\, Florida.  \n\n\n\nThe event is a brainchild of mine I had in spring 2022 and was able to put together with a committee of 3 other people and a few essential volunteers and sponsors in December 2022. This year\, I get to be mostly just an artist and vendor (besides managing some of the online logistics and promos).  \n\n\n\nHope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:First art market of the season! I’ll have a booth featuring my wood transfers of street art\, urban exploration\, and iconic St. Pete. I may or may not bring a bird or two.  \n\n\n\nThe 2nd Annual St. Pete Art Battle\, Auction and Vendor Market will take place under I-275 off 18th Street S between Central Avenue and 1st Avenue S\, in Downtown St. Petersburg.  \n\n\n\nART BATTLE: Five Teams of Artists will be assigned to paint 8×8 walls and must be completed by 4:00 PM. The crowd will vote\, and the winner will receive $500.00. Additional panels will be available for kids and adults to practice with. An adult must supervise all children under 16. \n\n\n\nOrganizers are Artissin Art Supplies\, Artisan Magazine\, and CelebrateStPetersburg.com.   \n\n\n\nVENDOR MARKET: around 60 artists\, crafters\, and other vendors\, and 4 food trucks will offer their goods.  \n\n\n\nThe location under the double overpass of I-275 gives shelter from the sun or rain. \n\n\n\nThe event is FREE to attend.

DESCRIPTION:One-night-only exhibit at 4 Gats Gallery during St. Pete 2nd Saturday ArtWalk. \nThis special installation features photography work by Luci Westphal especially curated\, and partially even created site-specific\, for this unique gallery in the middle of the Warehouse Arts District’s roundabout that is home to the wood sculpture artist Randy Colbath. \nThe exhibit is divided into two different views of celebrating wood as a photographer: photography printed on wood and photography of wood\, i.e. featuring images of trees. \nThe photographs printed on maple wood are the beginnings of a larger series called “Surviving or Thriving?”. The images show wildlife and plants in an active context with urban and industrial backdrops\, some of which even enhance the ability for nature to thrive. \nThe photographs of wood are especially created for this event and location: large-scale prints of some of the trees that have impressed Luci the most.
