Israeli singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan has a fascinating singing voice that could be male or female and that not everyone will find beautiful – or at least not as beautiful as his songwriting and music videos or as handsome as he is himself. Personally, I like it all. And I especially like the “The Labyrinth Song” off his new album Gold Shadow – and not only because it evokes Leonard Cohen at his best.
