Opening reception for the exhibit RISE at the Sightline Gallery and the lobby inside the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). The latest exhibit at Sightline Gallery in partnership with Creative Pinellas, features photography, woodworking, ceramics, and poetry by local artists. The exhibit invokes both the literal and spiritual meaning of rise. Luci Westphal’s photography features soaring birds and comforting angels; Scott Solary carves sunrises and mountains celebrating the beauty of nature, clay rises into stunning vessels in Charles Morrison’s hands, and Leticia Cruz’s poem reminds us that each day we rise offers a new hope.

The opening reception is invite-only unless you happen to be in the terminal for a flight already.

Part of the exhibit is visible to the general public before security, but the main exhibit is in the Sightline Gallery after security check near Gates 7-11.
