Featured Photo: Roseate Spoonbill

This Roseate Spoonbill, I photographed on my 2020 birthday in April.

While all of Florida was under a “safer at home” order during the pandemic, we could still enjoy the great outdoors. Instead of following my usual birthday tradition of being away from home and “real life” and exploring a new place, I was able to get away from it all by heading out into the gulf and revisiting two of my favorite bird islands. Of course, I didn’t get anywhere near the birds – just let a long lens appear to bring them close.
