For this third annual Berlin Street Art video (the others: Week 18 in 2010 and Week 68 in 2011) I let Berlin blogger and street art photographer David Yates take me on a tour through Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte and Friedrichshain (all former East Berlin neighborhoods).

He didn’t just know where to find them, but he also knew a lot of the artists. Check out his blog AndBerlin for more street art images and Berlin posts.

Berlin Street Art 2012 (East) – In A Berlin Minute (Week 124) from Luci Westphal on Vimeo.

Because I found too many great pieces, I made two decisions: 1 – there’ll be another extended version on my LuciWest channel soon; and 2 – I’ll make another 1-minute video about street art in the former West Berlin neighborhoods.

Some of the artists whose work is in this video: El Bocho, Alias, Alicé, Mr. Fahrenheit, tona, Robi The Dog , ALANIZ, Czarnobyl, Plotbot, Roy Schreuder and… who can name the others?

The music is: Caught In The Beat (Broke For Free) / CC BY 3.0
