It had been years since I last saw The Kills live – but it remained in my memory as one of the best shows I had ever seen in my life.

In a few days, they are finally releasing Ash & Ice – their first studio album since Blood Pressures in 2011. The early single releases “Doing It To Death” and “Heart Of A Dog” have been more than promising. Of course, I have pre-ordered the album already. I wonder if it will arrive on June 3rd – the day of the release…

But first, last night, I finally got to see them play live again! Their performance at the Ogden Theatre was incredible and proved to me: they were worth the wait! The dynamic between Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince is still there, the new songs are as energizing, unique, dance-able and memorable as the old – Jamie Hince’s guitar playing is in inspired and Alison Mosshart is just a powerhouse.
